Just imagine we're sitting around the fire on a snowy night, listening to my parents' memories, our family stories, learning about our ancestors, passing everything down to the newest generations.
My Parents right after they were married, February of 1947.

This picture was taken at my Gradfather Roberts' farm in Union Star, Kentucky. My father was just getting ready to turn 25 years old, and my mother was 23.
YOUR NOTES ARE INTERESTING. NOWADAYS IT SEEMS THAT YOUNG PEOPLE DO NOT SEEM TO BE MUCH INTERESTED IN WHAT GRANDPA DID BACK THEN. TOO BUSY ON THE CELL PHONE. (THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS). MARY JANE AND I WERE MARRIED IN AUGUST 1946. SEVERAL OF MY ENTRIES CONCERN MARY JANE AND MEMBERS OF HER FAMILY. SHE WAS AN ONLY CHILD AND SHE AND I ATTENDED SCHOOL CLASSES TOGETHER FOR PART OF THREE YEARS, 1927, 28, AND 29 UNTIL THE CRASH OF WALL STREET IN OCTOBER 1929. LOOK IN MY ARCHIVES FOR SOME OF LITTLE MARY JANE'S ESCAPADES. sam
